My Guardian Dogs

Me & Freya (My Turkmen Alabai)

Before you meet the cute little guardian puppies, here’s some more information about the history, registration, certification and origins of my Guardian Dogs.

ALL of my Guardian Dogs are imported, registered (Freya is double FCI and UKC-registered) and OFA Health-Tested and Certified.

Freya is the TOP alpha-mama Shepherd Guardian Dog in charge here at Ranger’s Guardian Dogs.

She’s a Turkmen Alabai (aka, The Central Asian Shepherd Dog).

Here’s a Closeup of Freya

Believe it or not, Freya is very photogenic!

In fact, she loves posing for pictures (like she did in this closeup here).

Another name for Freya’s breed is the Turkmen Wolf Hound.

Here’s Freya as a Puppy

Even when she was just a little puppy, Freya was very alert and aware of her surroundings.

That’s why I chose her to be the TOP Alpha-mama Guardian Dog here at Ranger’s Guardian Dogs.

In this short video here of Freya as a little puppy, you can see where she got her personality, and some of her siblings.

Turkmen Alabai (aka, The Central Asian Shepherd Dog, or Turkmen Wolf-Hound)

The ONLY true “pure-bred” shepherd guardian dog breed on Earth.

All other shepherd guardian dog breeds are “man-made”.

They’re also the OLDEST known shepherd guardian dog breed (7,000 BC).

Aren’t they the cutest little fur-babies you’ve ever seen before?

Think again!

Yes, we know our guardian puppies are super cute.

And we love how cute they are too!

But these adorable and lovable little guardian pups will quickly grow up to become very LARGE, incredibly-strong, extremely-loyal, and hyper-protective Guardian Dogs–and they can’t help it!

Freya: Pretending She’s a Lap Dog

We love our Guardian Dogs!

And our Guardian Dogs love pretending they’re lap-dogs!

Even though they take up most of the couch, like Freya does (she’s actually 6′ 6″ when standing up on her hind legs).

Here’s a picture of Freya being a total sweetheart: when relaxing at home, she’s always trying to be a lap-dog.

Despite their large size, Guardian Dogs are the cutest, sweetest, most loving, most protective and most loyal dog breeds you will likely ever meet.

Guardian Dogs are BIG, strong, loyal, tough and totally badass!

Guardian Dogs require your FULL respect.

It’s important to re-iterate that these pure-bred Shepherd Guardian Dogs are innately hard-wired for guarding livestock, as well as guarding farmland, and ranches or homes.

There’s a good reason these central Asian shepherd dog breeds are called “Guardian’s” or “Protector’s“.

  • Once they are fully-grown, their built-in nature is to guard and protect.
  • They are incredibly-loyal and will go to great lengths to protect their owners, livestock and/or property.
  • When provoked (or commanded by their owner) they can, and will ferociously-attack.
  • Guardian Dogs require a very strict and uniquely-structured training and puppy socialization regimen.
  • Proper training, care, AND socialization is paramount with guardian breeds.

They’re the opposite of small and cuddly. But they sure are cute!

To put their massive growth and size into perspective… they often grow to over 6′ tall (like Freya, she’s 6′ 6″ when standing on her back paws!).

As cute as they are, adopting a Guardian Dog is NOT for everyone.

First off, and UNLIKE most dog breeds–it takes highly-specialized training and knowledge in order to properly socialize, train and care for guardian dog breeds.

These guardian breeds have an average lifespan of 15 years.

I include a 2-Year Health Warranty on all puppies (*conditions apply–SEE Buyer Contact for all the details).

If you’ve done your homework, and you’re serious about making the required commitment (and investment) to adopt your own Guardian Dog…

I invite you to read my entire *Buyer Contract* to ensure you fully-understand and meet the requirements needed in order to adopt a Guardian Dog from Ranger’s Guardian Dogs.
