Kyrgyz Aboriginal (Central Asian Shepherd dog)

Hela, she’s my Kyrgyz Aboriginal Dog.

This breed of Central Asian Shepherd Dog is also commonly known as the Dobot.

Hela’s breed comes from the country of Kyrgyzstan.

This bloodline created the Tibetan Mastiff.

The Kyrgyz Aboriginal Dog is one of the oldest-known pure-bred Livestock Guardian Dog breeds on Earth.

Much like Freya (my Turkmen Alabai), Hela too is quite photogenic.

As you can see, Hela’s coloration and markings are a true mix of her mom and dad.

Interesting fact about this breed: Each Kyrgyz Aboriginal Dog is completely unique; with all sorts of variations of colors and/or markings.

Hela’s Mom: Bagira

Hela’s mom, Bagira, is a pure-bred Kyrgyz Aboriginal Dog (Central Asian Shepherd Livestock Guardian Dog).

Bagira is a Champion Show Dog in Europe.

Hela’s dad, Uglay, is a pure-bred Kyrgyz Aboriginal Dog (Central Asian Shepherd Livestock Guardian Dog).

Uglay is a Grand Champion Show Dog in Europe.

Uglay is a fine example of a pure-bred Kyrgyz Aboriginal Dog, and one of the reasons why I chose to adopt Hela.

Hela’s grandfather is a pure-bred Dobot and originated from the Aboriginal Kennel “Drakon”. Everyone in the Central Asian Shepherd community knows Hela’s grandpa. Stary Koktay was the Grand Champion of Kyrgyzstan.
