Loki: Tajik Aboriginal Dog

Tajik Aboriginal (Central Asian Shepherd Dog)
Loki is my Tajik Aboriginal Dog, and he’s one of two of my pure-bred Aboriginal Central Asian Shepherd Dogs here at Ranger’s Guardian Dogs.
Also known as the Sagi Dahmarda, Loki is a Livestock Guardian Dog and his ancient bloodline originates from the country of Tajikistan.
Hela is my other pure-bred Aboriginal Central Asian Shepherd Dog. Hela is a Kyrgyz Aboriginal (aka, Dobot).
Loki’s breed is where the commonly-known Kangal Shepherd Dog originated.
Keep reading to learn more about Loki’s breed, and to see pictures of his parents.
Me & Loki
Loki: My Tajik Aboriginal Dog
Tajik Aboriginal Dogs are one of the oldest known pure-bred Livestock Guardian Dogs on Earth.
Here’s a picture of me standing with Loki.
Loki doesn’t look very big because he’s sitting down, and he slouches, but he’s actually bigger than he appears in this picture (see his closeup pics on this page).
He’s also just a puppy so he definitely has some growing to do.
Loki’s breed comes from an ancient bloodline of pure-bred Livestock Guardian Dogs that dates back over 4,000+ years.
Both of Loki’s parents are pure-bred Tajik Aboriginal Dogs.
Both of his parents are OFA Health-Tested and Certified.

Here’s Loki with his laser-focus

For over 4,000+ years the Tajik Aboriginal breed has remained a pure-bred Livestock Guardian Dog, and true protector.
Loki is always surveying his surroundings like a Hawk
I chose Loki for the same reason I chose Freya to be the Alpha-Mama here at Ranger’s Guardian Dogs.
Like Freya, Loki was a very aware and alert puppy.
True to his breed, Loki is always on the lookout.
He’s always on high-alert and constantly surveying his surroundings.
He’s also quick to assess any predators or potential threats.
Loki comes from a bloodline of Champion pure-bred Tajik Aboriginal Dogs.

Loki’s Dad: The Champion of Tajikistan
Both of Loki’s parents (mom & dad) originated from the same breeder, Attila Horvath.
Both of Loki’s parents are pure-bred Tajik Aboriginal Dogs.
Here’s a picture of Loki’s dad. His name is Kashka.
Kashka is a 2-time Champion of The North Tadzhikistan, and the Champion of Tajikistan.

Loki’s Mom
Loki’s Mom: Pure-bred Sagi Dahmarda (Tajik Aboriginal)
Here’s a picture of Loki’s mom. Her name is Arikan.
Arikan is also an impressive example of a pure-bred Sagi Dahmarda, Tajik Aboriginal Dog.
As you can see from all the pics here, Loki gets his looks from both his mom and dad.
Like ALL Tajik Aboriginal Dogs, Loki’s markings are unique to him.
